Trains are packed, streets are full
Off to work, Off to school
You tell your wife, you'll be home soon
With no idea of this day's doom
This days begun like any other
Until minutes later you're taking cover
Screams of horror are all around
Then your world comes tumbling down
The nation watches in disbelief
Millions all over share this grief
Our hearts have fallen with the towers
During America's darkest hour
Then our children, they ask us why
What can we say, or do, but cry
In dark times, we become our best
We come together to pass this test
Let it be known, you can hit then hide
But you can't beat up America's pride
We may have stumbled, but did not fall
So just stay strong and God Bless us All
