Charlene Rivers is a freelance writer and web designer who feels strongly about education. Charlene lends her support to educational efforts like those proposed by the unbound Institute that help prepare young people for the world beyond college and high school. Ms Rivers tutors TCNJ students, staff, and faculty in HTML and web design, the Microsoft Office package, and copy editing. As unbound's editor in chief she troubleshoots any problems concerning the magazine.

Melissa Steiger is a journalism/professional writing major by day and unbound assistant production manager by night when she is not writing articles or obsessing over other work. after holding the position of assistant opinions editor last semester, she ventured into the land of the unknown- HTML. she spends much of her time yelling at the computer screen, yet still aspires to secure a position on a magazine staff once she graduates, maybe even involving computers!

Jeff Esposito is a junior communications major with the somewhat impressive minor in professional writing. What that has to do with layout design, you'll have to figure it out. He's spent the past year watching his beloved New York Mets and New York Giants make it into the big game - and lose. So don't bring it up. Besides that, Jeff enjoys worrying about what kind of work he can get out of college. Please give him ideas. Mr. Esposito resides in lovely borough of North Haledon, NJ.

Jennifer Wood is a senior Journalism/Professional Writing major at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ). In addition to being Photo Editor for unbound, she is currently a part-time substitute teacher in the Hopewell Valley Regional School District and, after graduation, she plans to teach English or computer technologies at the secondary level. She also hopes to enroll in a master's program in education in the fall of 2001. As of next summer, her name will become Mrs. Burkholtz when she marries Michael, her fiancé and a graduate of TCNJ.

Annemarie Conte thinks grammar rules. Or is it, she thinks about grammar rules? Aside from her job as copy chief, Annemarie spends time reading and writing, but very rarely doing arithmetic. She loves rugby, comedy improv, and stuffed artichokes. Her blue-haired friend has even accused her of being an artichoke junkie. Nonetheless, she thinks you're neat.

Ryan Groeger has the aspirations of becoming a well-known writer and editor. However, if those dreams fall apart, as they usually do, he hopes his dreams of becoming a congressional member from the Republican Party someday are not out of reach. In the meantime, he will work, root for the Yankees and watch the Dukes of Hazzard.

Andrea Lawn is a junior (almost) transfer student from James Madison University, is the assistant arts & leisure section editor for unbound. Upon transferring to TCNJ in Fall 2000, she switched her major from English to journalism and professional writing. She hopes to gain valuable knowledge and experience in what will be her
future career.

Meredith Edwards is a junior Journalism/Professional Writing major here at The College of New Jersey. She was very excited when she was chosen to be the Arts and Leisure Editor, and she's having a lot of fun with it so far. Her main interests are reading, writing, and watching her story, otherwise known as Passions. Right now, she's desperately searching for internships, and has come to the conclusion that writing for Maxim and creating headlines for The Trentonian are her dream jobs.

Chris Hermosilla embodies the age-old archetype, "Jack of all trades, master of none." He's fostered various interests in liberal arts since childhood, when he aspired to become a Nintendo Game Play Counselor. Years later, he's settled on being an amateur singer/songwriter and Journalism/Professional Writing major. Songs written: 6. Songs not quite finished: about 15. Hairs torn out while songwriting: roughly 37. His main goals in life are to win ungodly amounts of money on "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?," spend his life as a coffeehouse musician and hold a recurring feature role as That Really Sketchy Single Guy on the next five seasons of Temptation Island.

Joan Marshall is a sophomore Journalism/Professional Writing major who intends to work for a magazine or TV and interview celebrities. In addition to being assistant Lifestyles editor for unbound, she also writes for the Signal. Joan was born and raised in the Philippines and just recently became a U.S. citizen. Joan is not ashamed to admit that she LOVES the Backstreet Boys and has even met A.J., Brian, and Kevin. After graduation, Joan plans to marry Australian movie star Heath Ledger and have seven beautiful children.

Heather Stofell is a senior biology major/English minor, torn between a life of science and one of writing. As these life courses fight over her like Survivors for a Snickers bar, Heather mentally escapes into Star Trek, The West Wing, and can't stop quoting from The Simpsons. The day when her Entertainment Weekly comes in the mail makes her irrationally happy. She dreams of getting paid to tell people what she thinks, and can't wait for her trip to England in May, where she plans to frolic at Stonehenge at dawn. Heather wishes to thank her co-editor Jessica for having all the same health problems, and her friends Ann, Claire, Jim, Steve, Evelyn, Amy, and Christopher for listening to her complain and keeping her from going insane.

Jessica Kenia is a Corporate Health and Fitness Major (yes it is a major!). I like to write in the hours I pry myself out of the gym- poetry, which no one understands, as well as stories. My future career idea changes at least 3 times a day- I've wanted to be everything from a physical therapist to having my own "Jess' Flex Appeal" workout show on ESPN- Hey you never know!

Ryan Murphy is a Senior, English major at the college. He is also anintern at New Jersey Online where he balances his interning responsibilities with a healthy dose of Napster and AOL Instant Messenger. Perhaps best known for his sometimes controversial, always mediocre comic strip, "Johnny O." that appears in the Signal. When asked what his future aspirations were, Ryan replied, "Writer or Pokemon Master, whatever the market calls for." Ryan can be found maxin' like Michael Jackson, chillin' like Bob Dylan, and livin' like Thanksgiving in his luxurious one bedroom apartment along the historic Delaware River.

Tanya Smith is the opinions' section editor for unbound and a sophomore
journalism/ professional writing major at TCNJ. When she is not obsessing over her grades, Tanya could be found working with a smile (or so it may seem) at New York and Company or writing a poem about life's mysteries (of which she feels there are many). She hopes to pursue a career in magazine writing in the future, and possibly publish a collection of her poetic works.

Lisa Pardenek is a senior English/Secondary Education major, finishing out her final days at TCNJ. For the last four years, Lisa has immersed her herself in every aspect of reading and writing... always looking for experiences that she can bring back to her high school students. Although her favorite genre is poetry, she has the utmost respect for every form of expression and enjoys working on unbound for that reason.
