Angling The Arabian
Sea
By Rafiki Yako
Special Correspondent
Captain Suleiman, of
course, was masterful at this type of fishing, having grown up fishing
for his living in Tanzania. However, Michael, who confessed to never
having gone deep sea fishing before, displayed convincing talent
in this area as well. He'd let the hook fall for about 3 seconds
and pull it out with a fish on it every time. I, on the other hand,
had to play my lines in order to entice fish to bite and caught
one fish to every five that he pulled out of the water. He and Captain
Suleiman would cheer me on so vociferously each time I caught one
that in order to reproduce that feeling of victory I was spurred
on to drop my lines once more.
